About Planetary Talent

Talento Planetário was founded in 2021 by Joana Silva, as an individual company, based in the Médio Tejo region.

The creation of the society had as its main objective to formalize the work developed by the founder in training-action projects.

Between 2017 and 2022, Joana Silva worked as a consultant on two training-in-action projects, covering a total of 31 companies and delivering significant results.

These projects enabled the establishment of a solid client network, standing out as a valuable opportunity for business growth and market relationships.

The experience gained in these projects showed that, although relevant to achieving specific objectives, such initiatives do not comprehensively address the multiple gaps identified in the business fabric.

From this informal analysis, diagnoses of other training needs emerged. Based on this perspective, Talento Planetário was born, with the mission of expanding training offerings and contributing to the sustainable development of companies in the region.

What is vocational training?

Vocational Training is defined, generically, within the scope of the National Qualifications System (SNQ) (Decree-Law No. 396/2007, of December 31, amended and republished by Decree-Law No. 14/2017, of January 26), as training that aims to provide individuals with skills (capacities to mobilize knowledge, aptitudes and attitudes) for the exercise of one or more professional activities.

The Labour Code (Law No. 7/2009 of 12 February), focusing on integration into the labour market, establishes the following objectives for vocational training:

  • Provide initial qualifications to young people entering the job market without these qualifications.
  • Ensure continuous training of the company's employees.
  • Promote the qualification or professional retraining of workers at risk of unemployment.
  • Promote the professional rehabilitation of workers with disabilities, in particular workers whose disability results from an accident at work.
  • Promote the socio-professional integration of workers belonging to a group with particular integration difficulties.
